.
Michael, the owner of Peace Country Filtration, had previously hired me for t-shirt designs and advertising and vehicle signage. In 2020 he requested that I update his website. From 3 themes he chose a primarily white background with the blue and red from his logo as accent colours. As the company was extremely busy and growing, rather than reaching new customers, his goals were to modernize the site and provide easily available filter information to his salesmen in the field. This was a long term project as the filter content took time to gather and he was also starting a second company, PCF Micron.
The goal of the home page is to briefly introduce the company and provide contact information. The top and bottom logos are links to the home page and the header and footer are consistent throughout the site. The social and contact icons in the header are links for direct calling, emailing or company social media pages. Both the header and footer have navigation/links to the various web pages within the site. The links within the contact information work the same as the header icons with the addition of map links for the addresses listed. Multiple ways to reach the product information were also set-up for the convenience of the filtration sales team.
I did not use a web buildier to create the website as I wanted the flexibility that comes with writing custom html5, css and javascript. In particular, the css code can be adjusted so that regardless of the device used to view the site it looks good and functions properly.

The products page allowed for 2 ways to find specific filter information.
The user could use the drop down menu buttons to choose a category and then select a specific filter or scroll down to find a filter.

Once the desired filter was located, the user had basic information on the filter and could then choose to access further details, return to the top of the page or scroll up or down.

If "more info" was selected the user would be taken to a pdf document containing all the filter details provided by the manufacturer.
The website went live in late 2021. Early in 2022 Peace Country Filtration and PCF Micron were purchased by Vytal Filtration. Michael stayed on as manager of the Dawson Branch of Vytal. Unfortunately, for the purposes of this portfolio, Vytal has its own site and took over management of the existing site. The original site still exists, however, many of the external links on the site no longer function. The website can be viewed at pcfiltration.ca You will need to click the x in the top right corner of the pop-up to close it.

Michael also started a second company, PCF Micron, in 2021. We chose to only change the text from his filtration logo in order to capitalize on the existing branding.
